Digital Device Policy

Digital devices include, but are not limited to the following: cellular phones, smart phones, laptops, tablets, e-readers, mp3 players.

Digital devices must ALWAYS be in Silent Mode.

When a student is seen using a digital device or the digital device is heard in the classroom, hallways, lunchroom or anywhere not directly related to teacher led activities in accordance with the BYOD policy, the following corrective action will be taken:

o 1st Offense: Device is confiscated and given to an Administrator. Parent is notified. Parent must come to school to retrieve device.

o 2nd Offense: Device is confiscated and given to an Administrator. Parent is notified. Parent must come to school to retrieve device. Student is suspended for one (1) day.

o 3rd Offense: Device is confiscated and given to an Administrator. Parent is notified. Parent must come to school to retrieve device. Student is suspended for three (3) days.
